Movares Group has chosen to furnish its offices in the Netherlands sustainably—1,000 workstations and additional furniture—through TRIBOO’s circular office furniture subscription service

Sometimes you come across a client whose sustainability goals align so closely with your own mission that it’s a perfect match. Movares’ request for proposals to the market was highly challenging: to furnish 6 offices in the Netherlands—a total of 1,000 workstations and additional furniture—in the most sustainable way possible, using an “as a service” model, with a focus on the use of circular products. TRIBOO took on the challenge. Our solution—less material, less CO2, and less waste—was a perfect fit.

1,000 #GREENGRIDZ WORKSTATIONS AND ADDITIONAL FURNITURE

Our #greengridz desk configurations, available in duo and solo versions, played a key role in winning the contract. They make a significant contribution to making business operations more sustainable. For service-oriented organizations, the design of the office environment plays a major role in the organization’s carbon footprint. That’s exactly where you can count on the pragmatic solution offered by the innovative, lightweight #greengridz desk and table tops. Simply put, on average, you use 12 kilograms less material per desk top compared to traditional, heavy, solid desk and table tops made of particleboard. With a thousand tops, this means 12,000 kilograms less material is used, resulting in a 60% lower CO2 footprint. By using less material, less material needs to be recycled. We prevent the creation of waste and the use of raw materials—simply because we no longer need the material to make the best desk and table tops in the world.

EVERUSE ACOUSTIC DESK SCREEN WITH I-DID FINISH MADE FROM OLD MILITARY CLOTHING

The circular duo workstations feature an EverUse acoustic desk screen in the center. With recycled textile padding on the inside, it absorbs sound and provides acoustic comfort. The exterior of the panel is finished with felt made from recycled military clothing, giving it a rugged look.

ADDITIONAL FURNITURE

The design also included many other sustainable furniture pieces, such as NeverEnding Furniture—3D-printed furniture made from waste materials, tabletops made from reclaimed wood, modular soft seating solutions, and many other pieces that exude sustainability in the Movares Group’s work environment.

FURNITURE SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE: CIRCULAR OFFICE FURNISHINGS

Another important step for Movares Group was to shift from owning furniture to using it. TRIBOO’s solution—a transparent, subscription-based circular office furniture model—can flexibly adapt and evolve alongside the company’s operations.

The subscription offers a wide range of benefits. You pay for usage, not ownership. Without any upfront investment, you can use high-quality, sustainable, and ergonomic office furniture for a fixed monthly fee. This includes service, professional logistics, maintenance, and a warranty. The costs will never exceed the agreed-upon amount. There’s no risk, and you can swap out furniture as needed.

It provides maximum financial and operational flexibility and supports data-driven facility management. It also contributes to achieving the CSRD objectives.

FURNITURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Circular office furnishings are registered and entered into the TMS (TRIBOO Furniture Management System). The TMS is a software program based on a portal that contains all relevant information about the office furniture.

Each piece of furniture is equipped with an RFID tag that includes a QR code. This provides access to the portal, which fully facilitates furniture management and offers a real-time overview of what’s in use and where it’s located—anytime, anywhere! This way, we ensure that the furniture never goes missing and ends up in a landfill or incinerator. It always returns to TRIBOO, which ensures that the furniture continues to circulate. Together with Movares, we take good care of the raw materials and our furniture.
