Pami, the Belgian market leader in creating inspiring work environments and office concepts, is announcing a unique partnership at Orgatec ’24 with Triboo, the Dutch company dedicated to repurposing various waste streams into valuable, circular office furnishings.

Triboo’s Never-Ending-Furniture brand allows Pami’s designers to incorporate exclusive, custom-designed, and custom-manufactured pieces of furniture into their office interiors. This enables them to extend a company’s brand experience further than ever before.

Waste streams become raw materials

What is at least as important, however, is that this collaboration marks a revolutionary step in truly sustainable office design. After all, the raw material for these unique pieces of furniture comes from waste streams of polypropylene, PET, rPET/carbon, hemp, paper, and cardboard. These materials are used to produce a 100% recycled material that is transformed into … new office furniture using Colossus Printers’ advanced 3D printing technology.

Colossus Printers is a global leader in the development and commercialization of large-scale 3D printing technology and materials development. In addition to advancing this technology, Colossus Printers also manufactures furniture through its global network of Colossus systems. This enables hyperlocal production and the use of local supply chains.

After all, even when this furniture—which is already made from 100% recycled waste—reaches the end of its life, it can be ground down into granules. Patented Greengridz panel

At Orgatec ’24 in Cologne, both partners in circularity are proudly showcasing the first result of this collaboration: a custom-designed, 3D-printed table leg paired with a Greengridz tabletop. These revolutionary circular desk and tabletops from Triboo feature a patented GRID system at their core. This makes the panels not only much lighter, but also much stronger and stiffer than any solid panel currently available on the market.

Compared to a traditional desk top (1600x800x24mm) made of particleboard, a Greengridz panel uses 12 kg less material, and its production emits 60% less CO2. This means that the material from a single solid desk top can be used to make three lightweight Greengridz panels. At the end of their useful life, the panels can be returned to Pami, where they are converted into activated carbon for use in water and air filters.

Exclusivity for the Belgian market

In addition to this collaboration on 3D-printed frames, both companies will also announce at Orgatec ’24 that Pami has been granted exclusive rights to use the innovative Greengridz panels for the Belgian office furnishings market.

The first products featuring Greengridz technology will be integrated into Pami’s office furnishings as soon as possible. “In doing so, we are fulfilling our responsibility as a market leader,” Lode Essers states emphatically, “and, together with Triboo, we are raising the bar for sustainable office furnishings to new heights.”
