TRIBOO Launches Puzzl, a Circular Soft Seating Collection Featuring CircleFoam Inside

Worthless waste is given a second life as high-quality, circular office furnishings.

With the launch of the new Puzzl soft seating collection, TRIBOO once again demonstrates that discarded materials can be transformed into valuable circular interior products. The modular seating elements combine foam and latex from old furniture and mattresses, discarded electronics packaging, used textiles, lightweight Greengridz furniture panels, and 3D-printed parts made from 100% recycled material into a single innovative design.

The Puzzl collection was developed by Marc van der Heijden, Serge Pekaar, and product developer Christopher List. The result is a circular collection of modular seating elements that is not only produced sustainably but was also designed to be fully reusable.

Designed for circularity

The design principles behind Puzzl are based on two mutually reinforcing innovations: material development using waste streams and a construction that ensures the product will never become waste.

Every component of the collection has a modular design and can be easily disassembled. No glue, staples, or permanently bonded materials are used. The seating elements consist of just four clean, single-material components that can be easily separated from one another. As a result, the material value is preserved, and the raw materials can be reused in high-quality applications at the end of their useful life.

First model: Tessella

The first model in the collection is the Tessella: a modular seating system that makes it easy to create flexible seating solutions for work environments and public spaces. The aesthetically refined elements combine comfort with versatility and adapt effortlessly to changing spaces and usage needs.

Thanks to the modular design, the components are compact, flexible, and fully customizable to suit your needs. If the space’s requirements change, the layout can easily be adjusted accordingly.

From Product to Raw Material

When a Puzzl seating element is no longer in use, it can be returned to TRIBOO. The products are then refurbished and put back into service. At the end of their useful life, all materials are recovered for high-quality recycling and used as raw materials for the next generation of Puzzl products.

To further promote this circular economy, TRIBOO pays a raw material fee of €0.25 per kilogram upon return. In doing so, the company recognizes both the lasting value of circular materials and the user’s investment in a waste-free future.

Working Together to Reduce Waste and CO₂ Emissions

With the launch of Puzzl, TRIBOO and CircleFoam Sustainable Products are taking another step toward a circular interior design industry in which less material is wasted, fewer CO₂ emissions are produced, and products are designed for reuse.
