In 2023, I had the honor of accepting the CSU Smart Solution of the Year Award for our circular, lightweight furniture panel, #GREENGRIDZ. This is a wonderful recognition of innovations that contribute to a more sustainable and healthier work environment! 🌍💡

Recognition for decisiveness

“For us, this award is recognition of our vision, perseverance, and determination to transform worthless waste into valuable circular office furnishings. With #greengridz, we’re making a positive impact on our world by using 60 to 90% less material, emitting 60% fewer harmful greenhouse gases, and producing zero waste at the end of the life cycle. The sheets are shredded and upcycled through a pyrolysis process into activated carbon, which is used in water and air filters.”

More attention

Winning the award has been a real boon for my organization, Triboo: “We’ve received a lot of attention and have gained new customers.” At the same time, the challenge of circularity deserves more attention: “Every year in Europe, we throw away 11 billion kilograms of furniture, 90% of which is incinerated. If everyone furnished their offices using fewer materials, emitting less CO2, and generating less waste, we could turn fast furniture that’s thrown away into an infinite source of raw materials.”
