Lokhorst Construction is the first circular contractor in Europe to work with its own waste. By learning in its own circular office, the company is taking the lead in circular construction. In a circular challenge, waste was upcycled into a high-profile interior design.
From 1,500 kilos of waste fibres, 600 kilos of recycled plastics and 225 kilos of reused wood, a high-profile circular environment has been created. There are 150 workplaces for the people who make Lokhorst stand out
In 1934, Dries Lokhorst, initially with his partner Welagen, registered his company with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Haarlem. As a brand new entrepreneur, he worked long hours. Hands-on work on the building site during the day and paperwork at home in the evenings. In the years that followed, his five sons reinforced the company. The culture of the former family business has continued unchanged ever since: honest, open, careful.
