Smart Ocean is designed for comfortable, healthy, and intuitive work. The chair uses the user’s body weight to automatically provide the right amount of support and counterpressure. This makes it particularly well-suited for flexible workspaces, shared office environments, and workplaces where simplicity and ease of use are key.
Smart Ocean demonstrates that high-quality ergonomic design and circularity go hand in hand. The chairs are manufactured using NetPlus material derived from collected and recycled fishing nets. The nets are processed into plastic pellets, which are then reused as raw material for the office chairs. Each chair contains nearly one kilogram of this recycled material. This gives waste that would otherwise be harmful to marine ecosystems a new, long-lasting purpose within a professional work environment.
The Smart Ocean features Form-Sensing Mesh technology. The backrest consists of a form-fitting mesh that adapts to the body and provides support where needed. This creates a comfortable fit without the user having to adjust various settings first. The weight-dependent tilt mechanism uses the user’s body weight to automatically determine the resistance when leaning back. As a result, the chair moves naturally with the user and supports various sitting positions throughout the workday.
Smart Ocean was designed based on the principle that a good office chair should be simple to use. Ergonomic support is largely controlled automatically, reducing the need for buttons, levers, and manual adjustments. The contoured backrest provides flexible support for the lower back, while the molded seat distributes body weight evenly.
