#Greengridz Old Fashion Circular Table

#Greengridz

The #Greengridz Old Fashion is a circular table that demonstrates what recycling is all about. Every year in the Netherlands, approximately 145 million kilograms of clothing ends up in the general waste stream, the vast majority of which goes straight to the incinerator. But you can change that when you hold meetings at a #Greengridz Old Fashion table. With every lightweight tabletop we make, 4.5 kilograms of recycled clothing is given a new purpose as laminate used to finish the tabletop. Show who you are and bring your old rugged jeans, military clothing, lab coats, custom-tailored suits, or flight attendant uniforms back to life on your Old Fashion circular table.

The #Greengridz Old Fashion circular table is constructed from a collection of lightweight #Greengridz tabletops and bases made from various materials. The tabletops are available in a variety of shapes—from round, square, rectangular, barrel-shaped, oval, and trapezoidal to organic shapes such as a pebble. There is a vast selection of dimensions, allowing us to always create a table that meets your specific needs. Thanks to the standard panel length of 5,180 mm, extra-long tables can be made from a single piece. They can feature straight or rounded corners, with tabletop thicknesses ranging from 25 to 100 mm. For the tabletop finish, we offer a collection made from recycled jeans, suits, military clothing, jute, and flax.

The foundation of every table is its base. These are made using various materials and manufacturing techniques. With 3D-printed bases, you can choose a design of your choice in the style and color that appeals to you—from industrial, modern, biophilic, Japandi, rustic, to brutalism. We also offer refurbished and new metal bases in a variety of models: Matrix, X-, U-, or A-leg, trapezoidal, or a central column. If you’re looking for a warmer, more natural look, wooden bases in a wide range of styles are the right choice. The height of the structures ranges from 550 mm, 780 mm, to 1050 mm, depending on the type of table you want.

60 percent lower CO2 emissions

CO2 emissions from the production of #greengridz tabletops are 60 percent lower than those from solid wood tabletops. Because of their light weight, 50 percent more volume can be transported, resulting in significantly lower fuel consumption and half the number of trips. The weight per square meter of a 38-millimeter tabletop is approximately 18 kilograms for plywood, 25 kilograms for particleboard, and 8 kilograms for #greengridz.

Made with 60 to 90 percent less material%

The lightweight #greengridz desk and table tops are constructed using a patented grid structure. This makes the tops extremely strong, rigid, and resistant to bending. With a top measuring 1600x800x24mm, you save approximately 13 kilograms of material compared to heavy, solid tops made of particleboard.

What started with viewing a 3D printed tulip vase and then driven by commitment and enthusiasm, many more circular solutions turned out to be possible, which were eventually realized in the building. TRIBOO gave "working together on housing" a much broader dimension and a story to go with it.

Pieter and Peter find it very interesting and fun to work with TRIBOO. They deliver products that are completely in line with our circular objectives. They take us along in the development and knowledge of materials, binding techniques and modular constructions made on Dutch soil. They simply show us what it is made of and that appeals. They also help us tell "the circular story".

Massaro: 'We chose this furniture because it is made of worthless waste that would otherwise have made a negative impact on our planet. Now the waste has become cool and fun furniture. All those thousands of employees and visitors who will be using the rooms will see the story, read it, and may be inspired to do the same'.
