PUZZL
Shard is part of the modular PUZZL soft seating collection. The collection was developed for flexible work environments and public spaces where the furnishings must be able to adapt to changing needs. The seating elements are locally produced, designed for disassembly, and made from materials that are largely recovered from existing waste streams.

PUZZL Shard combines comfortable seating with a construction designed to prevent material loss. Whereas traditional seating furniture often consists of glued, riveted, and difficult-to-separate layers, PUZZL is built from separate material streams. The connections are reversible, and the components can be disassembled. This allows worn parts to be replaced, and the raw materials used remain available for maintenance, reuse, or high-quality recycling.

PUZZL is made from materials that were previously considered waste. EPS from sources such as electronics packaging and discarded refrigerators is processed into a rigid and lightweight construction material. PU foam and latex from old sofas, mattresses, and other seating furniture are also recovered. These materials are reprocessed into CircleFoam Comfort: a high-quality comfort foam suitable for use in professional seating furniture.
CircleFoam is a key component of the PUZZL construction. Recycled EPS is used as a lightweight base for the frame, while recovered PU foam and latex are incorporated into the comfortable seat layer. In this way, former waste streams are repurposed based on their original functional properties. The result is a seating element designed for comfortable use in heavily trafficked office, reception, and meeting areas.

Discover how you can design your workspace—whether at the office or at home—in a circular way with high-quality, eye-catching furniture made with fewer materials, lower CO2 emissions, and less waste. Request our brochure below.

Each seating element has a modular design and can be easily disassembled. No glue, staples, or permanently bonded materials are used. It consists of just four clean, single-material components that can be easily separated from one another. This preserves the value of the materials and allows the raw materials to be reused in high-quality applications at the end of their useful life.

Discarded materials that would otherwise end up in the trash serve as raw materials for the PUZZL. Foam and latex from old upholstered furniture and mattresses, discarded electronics packaging, used textiles, lightweight Greengridz furniture panels, and 3D-printed parts made from 100% recycled material come together in a single innovative circular design.
Together, we’re taking steps toward a healthier, circular work environment. Whether you want to furnish a single room or renovate an entire office, we’d be happy to work with you to find the right solution.
